Jim has been married to his wife Doretta for 33 years and has two daughters - Jenn and Michelle.

He is a teacher at Frederick County Career and Technology Center.  He is certified in Health, Physical Education, Math and Computer Science. 

Jim played soccer and wrestled in college.  He continued to play soccer after college and picked up rugby as well.  Jim started his coaching career in Pennsylvania, where he coached varsity volleyball for 4 years.  He then began coaching varsity wrestling at TJ High School, which he did for 2 years - followed by 12 years of coaching TJ's varsity volleyball team.

Along with being a director of FAVOR, Jim spends his free time doing various construction projects.  He also spends a lot of his summers working with the Brethren Disaster Relief Ministries.
