Robert has been playing volleyball since college, beginning in 1995.  He played two seasons on the men's squad at Salisbury State.  In 1999 he went back to Salisbury for grad school, and while there, coached the men's team. The following year Robert was an assistant coach for the women's varsity team - when they won their second CAC championship in 2000.
 
Robert has coached the FVBC women's team Play It! for four years.  After a long hiatus, he has started back playing USAV, setting for a Frederick men's team this season.  This is his third year with FAVOR.
