RON GARTRELL
Ron has lived in Frederick all of his life and has been married to Sharen for going on 27 years. He's been playing volleyball in the men's recreation & power leagues for at least 26years. He also played in the men's USVBA league for five years and has played 2's, 3's, 4's and in the co-ed VB league. In 2006 Ron was the Head coach of the Catoctin JV team and assistant coach of the Varsity team where his daughter Sara plays. He coached the FAVOR league teams that Sara played for 4 years, and continues to coach now that Sara has moved on to college. Over the years he has also helped coach little league baseball teams that his son Matthew has played on - which he will be doing again this year.
He is a big fan of the Maryland Terps and loves to play Volleyball
and golf.
