Diane is a Director and the President of FVBC's Board of Directors. Diane has been coaching for over 13 years with multiple age groups and skill levels. She currently coaches Women's Varsity Volleyball with Coach Rico at Tuscarora High School. This year marks Diane's 7th year as a coach for FVBC.
In both her professional and coaching career, teaching and education are core to her life and she loves being able to spread the fun and competitiveness of volleyball with any player she comes in contact with.
Diane is IMPACT certified and has attended the Gold Medal Squared coaching clinic. "Volleyball brings so many skills that can be applied on and off the court. We always have such great, talented girls play for our teams. They, and the talented coaches and staff, are the reason I continue to coach every year.”
Professionally, Diane practices law in Downtown Frederick. In her spare time (ha ha), you will find her enjoying time with her very understanding husband, Andy, their 3 kids and dog, Barkley.
Coach Zach Brown started his passion for volleyball when he first took a volleyball class in High School. He is an Alumni of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. He pursued his passion playing volleyball in the United States Air Force, where he was selected to the All Air Force team representing Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. He was a 4 year starter as an Outside Hitter.
After leaving the Air Force he continued playing in local adult leagues, both men’s and co-Ed’s. He has been with Frederick Volleyball Club for 4 years. Currently serving as the Vice President on the board of directors.
Coach Emily Morris has been playing volleyball for 13 years now. Emily is from Long Island, New York, and recently moved to Baltimore, Maryland. She earned three Varsity Letters in High School, earning All-Selection and All-County accolades. She then continued her career at Lycoming College, where she was a three-year starter and two-year captain. In Emily’s senior year, she was named to the MAC (Mid-Atlantic Conference) All Conference team.
Emily has coached young players and assisted as a coach for clinics in her hometown. Emily is extremely excited for her first-year coaching for FVBC! Emily’s main goals are to create a positive and supportive atmosphere for all her players. She believes that teamwork is the key to success in the game of volleyball.
When Emily is not coaching, she spends her time focusing on obtaining her M.S.W (Master of Social Work) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing with her dogs, Zeus and Zara.
Nagy Abdelrazek: Head coach for Catholic University of America's Women's Volleyball team for 27 seasons . During his time in the nation’s capital, Abdelrazek guided the Cardinals to back-to-back Capital Athletic Conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances in 2001 and 2002, with more than 500th career coaching victories. Voted the CAC Coach of the Year in 1994, 1999, 2000 and 2001, Abdelrazek led the Cardinals to a school-best 38-3 mark in 2001. After leading the team to a 35-6 mark in 2000, Abdelrazek was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. One of the most respected coaches in the game, Abdelrazek is one of just 26 coaches nationally to qualify for Level III of USA Volleyball's Coaching Accreditation Program at its Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. His knowledge and experience have is a great addition to the FVBC Program.
A 1984 graduate of the University of Alexandria in Egypt, Abdelrazek earned a physical education degree. He has also passed the International Volleyball Federation Level III and USA Volleyball Coaches Association Program Level III certification exams. His FIVB certification qualifies him to coach international teams. Abdelrazek started playing at the national level in Egypt at age 16 and continued into college where he was a four-time all-star. He has played in more than 35 matches at the international level.

Coach Deb has been coaching volleyball for 18 years. She started out as a JV coach with Urbana High school in 2005. She then worked for Frederick County Parks and Recreation coaching the Middle School volleyball rec league where she won the MARPSA (Mid-Atlantic Rec and Park Sports Alliance award) for the state of Maryland in 2016.
Deb has been coaching at FVBC as a head coach or an assistant coach for about ten years and really enjoys working with this club. She is currently on the Oakdale High School volleyball team staff as an assistant coach and primarily works with the JV squad.
When Deb isn’t coaching, she is a Biologist at a cell therapy company in Rockville. She and her husband Rich live in New Market, Maryland.
Coach Wendy Hickman has been coaching for 20+ years at the high school and club level. She is currently on the Board of Directors for FVBC and along with coaching a club team she coaches at many of our summer clinics and camps. Coach Wendy works with players to help develop not only good form and skills, but a love for the game.
Along with coaching she continues to play volleyball on many leagues, USAV women's teams, and most recently at the MD State and National Senior Games.
Wendy has been an elementary teacher with Frederick County Public Schools for 30 years. Along with playing and coaching volleyball, she enjoys traveling, hiking ,reading, and spending time with her husband, 2 grown children and her boxer, Mingo.
