FVBC is excited to offer a variety of different opportunities for players to get on the court and learn more about the game of volleyball. Check out all that Frederick Volleyball has to offer. There is something for everyone.

Saturday, June 14

U10: 9:00am - 10:30am

U12: 11:00am - 12:30pm

Cost:  $60 per player

Description: FVBC is excited to offer a Youth Intro. to Volleyball Clinic for young athletes to come and learn the game of volleyball. This program is designed to give each child a positive introduction into volleyball and ensure they walk away with a smile on their face wanting to learn more. We will use a variety of games and activities to give each athlete an overview of the sport while building valuable skills such as passing, setting, hitting and serving.

 

June 16 to June 20

9:00AM to 12:00PM

 

Cost:  $250 per player

Description: This camp is for students entering grades 6, 7, and 8. It includes an instruction in all of the skills need to play the game: passing, setting, serving, attacking and blocking. Court positions and responsibilities will be covered. Players will learn the game through a variety of fun drills and game-like situations.

 

College Bound Training Clinic
June 10 - Aug 7
(no clinic June 24 and 26 - AAU Nationals)

Cost: $450 per player

Description:  Our college-bound camp is the perfect selection for athletes who are in grades 9 - 12 (rising) with prior club or Varsity level experience that are interested in participating in volleyball at the highest levels. *Rising 8th graders can be considered based on previous experience.* While this camp will touch on all of the basic skills in volleyball, the focus will be on strategy, tactics, and  in-game adjustments. It will also include elements of conditioning preparation for playing at a higher level. Athletes will split into smaller groups for advanced position specific work and regroup for competition. Drills will be fast-paced and demanding with a high number of touches and a lot of live play. Athletes will receive a comment card at the end of camp with feedback on their strengths and potential areas of growth. We will also work with the families on actions/steps to take to move forward in the recruiting process.

Description: Players will be given the opportunity to improve their volleyball skills through focused, intensive training in all the skills of volleyball (passing, setting, attacking, and serving).  Instruction will include specialized drills and opportunities for game play. Players will be grouped according to skill level to provide the opportunity for coaches to meet each player where they are and provide a more personalized experience.  

Defense System Skills Camp
 
(For Liberos, Defensive Specialists, and Outside Hitters)

 

July 14 to July 18

9:00AM to Noon

 

Cost: $250 per player

Description: This camp is designed to allow liberos and defensive specialists to work on passing and digging in conjunction with hitters. Pairing the two groups provides opportunities for specialized practice in a realistic game-like atmosphere.

Offense System Skills Camp

 

July 21 to July 25

9:00AM to Noon

 

Cost: $250 per player

Description:   This camp is designed to help players to better understand offense systems such as a 5-1 and 6-2. Players will also learn attacking philosophy, serve and serve receive strategy and what it takes to win those tight games (red zone).

High School Prep Camps
Camp 1:  July 28 to Aug. 1

Cost: $250 per player

Description: The purpose of these camps is to give high school players skills practice and develop the confidence they need heading into the high school season. Players will be exposed to common drills and game-like situations. They will receive tips for tryouts from experienced coaches. Participants will be grouped by age and/or ability level in order to provide a more personalized experience.
